<p><span style="font-size: 18px;">We have spent some time looking at sentences and sentence fragments.  But it's hard to follow a list of sentences.  <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Writers organize their sentences into paragraphs so that the meaning is clear to the reader</span>.  The next few pages will be an introduction to paragraphs.  </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 18px;">Some of you are already very solid writers, but we can all learn something by going back to the basics.  After experiencing these lessons, I'll be asking what you've learned.  So, your job is to <span style="color: #ff0000;">learn something</span>!  Look for what you didn't know, and/ or look for something that you read or hear that simplifies something you knew already, but says it better than you could.</span></p>
