One of my students' favorite projects ever is to make their very own version of Battle Bunny. I have students find an old picture book. Maybe it's one that no one reads anymore. Maybe it will end up in the garbage because some pages are missing. Maybe it's a favorite book that you just always thought would be better with Godzilla stomping through it, of zombies attacking the characters, or Bigfoot peaking out behind trees in different scenes. The key is that it's a simple book with lots of room for you to work on it. A busy, multilevel text just won't work here because there's too much going on. |
