    In 1975, sonar started being used to search for the monster.
    New technology allowed Nessie hunters to look underneath as well as above the water.

    Boats equipped with high-powered sonar were soon ploughing the 23-mile loch, which has maximum depth of 750ft

    This image taken by US inventor Robert Rines, and later enhanced by computer, appears to show a long-necked animal.

    In fulfilling his lifelong ambition to prove the existence of Nessie, Rines was credited with useful innovations in radar, sonar, and ultrasound.

     

    Who are we to believe?  What's real and what's not?  Some people have spent a lot of time trying to prove or disprove the existence of Nessie.  Check out the website on the next page to read more and see if this is the proof we need.  The best part- this is a news report from April 2014...
