And this all brings us to Battle Bunny! Two friends of mine Jon Scieszka and Mac Barnett came up with the idea for Battle Bunny by laughing at how some of the old books were so lame that we make fun of them. Then they thought, "Why don't we just take an old book and make it cool?" So they created a dorky, old-looking book and did what any boy would do; they revised (***ered) it by adding text, crossing stuff out, drawing on the illustrations... all to create an entirely new story.
