HealthCorps' is a National non-profit organization devoted to sharing invaluable discoveries learned through over 13 years of work and research in many of America’s most challenging high schools.
This chapter relays the history and evolution of the curriculum. It also introduces the reader to the structure of the curriculum to better enable them to navigate this edition. Since 2003, HealthCorps lessons have been informed from the experience of young people teaching health and wellness in high needs high schools. The curriculum is also informed by best practices of partners to ensure that it is continually aligned with national standards and remains evidence-based.
